Announcement by the National Immigration Administration on Expanding the Implementation of the 144-hour Visa-Free Transit Policy in Henan and Yunnan Provinces
国家移民管理局关于扩大在河南、云南省实施144小时过境免签政策的公告
From now on, the 144-hour visa-free transit policy will be implemented at Zhengzhou airport in Henan, with the permitted stay area being the administrative region of Henan Province. In Yunnan Province, the stay area for the 144-hour visa-free transit policy will be expanded from Kunming to include the administrative regions of Kunming, Lijiang, Yuxi, Pu'er, Chuxiong, Dali, Xishuangbanna, Honghe, and Wenshan. Additionally, three new ports of entry will be included in the 144-hour visa-free transit policy: Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, Lijiang Sanyi International Airport, and Mohan Railway Port.
即日起，在河南郑州航空口岸实施144小时过境免签政策，停留区域为河南省行政区域；将云南省144小时过境免签政策停留范围由昆明市扩大至昆明、丽江、玉溪、普洱、楚雄、大理、西双版纳、红河、文山等9个市（州）行政区域。新增郑州新郑国际机场、丽江三义国际机场和磨憨铁路口岸等3个口岸为144小时过境免签政策适用口岸。
Citizens of 54 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Belarus, Norway, United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, who hold valid international travel documents and an onward ticket with a confirmed date and seat within 144 hours, can transit through Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport to a third country (region) and stay in the administrative region of Henan Province without a visa for up to 144 hours.
奥地利、比利时、捷克、丹麦、爱沙尼亚、芬兰、法国、德国、希腊、匈牙利、冰岛、意大利、拉脱维亚、立陶宛、卢森堡、马耳他、荷兰、波兰、葡萄牙、斯洛伐克、斯洛文尼亚、西班牙、瑞典、瑞士、摩纳哥、俄罗斯、英国、爱尔兰、塞浦路斯、保加利亚、罗马尼亚、乌克兰、塞尔维亚、克罗地亚、波黑、黑山、北马其顿、阿尔巴尼亚、白俄罗斯、挪威、美国、加拿大、巴西、墨西哥、阿根廷、智利、澳大利亚、新西兰、韩国、日本、新加坡、文莱、阿联酋、卡塔尔等54国公民，持有效国际旅行证件和144小时内确定日期及座位的联程客票，从郑州新郑国际机场过境前往第三国（地区），可免办签证在河南省行政区域内停留不超过144小时。
For transit through Yunnan to a third country (region), they can enter and exit from Kunming Changshui International Airport, Lijiang Sanyi International Airport, or Mohan Railway Port, and stay in the administrative regions of Kunming, Lijiang, Yuxi, Pu'er, Chuxiong, Dali, Xishuangbanna, Honghe, and Wenshan without a visa for up to 144 hours (those who meet the conditions of mutual visa exemption agreements signed with China or China’s unilateral visa-free policy can follow those regulations).
从云南过境前往第三国（地区），可免办签证从昆明长水国际机场、丽江三义国际机场、磨憨铁路口岸中任一口岸入境出境，在云南昆明、丽江、玉溪、普洱、楚雄、大理、西双版纳、红河、文山等9市（州）范围内停留不超过144小时（符合与我国签署互免签证协定或我单方面免签政策的，可从其规定）。
During the stay, short-term activities such as tourism, business, visits, and family visits are allowed. Activities such as work, study, and news reporting still require prior approval and a visa to enter the country.
停留期间可从事旅游、商务、访问、探亲等短期活动，工作、学习、新闻采访等事项仍需事先批准并办妥签证方可入境。
