To further promote the exchange of people between China and other countries, China has decided to expand the range of visa-exempt countries. A trial visa exemption policy will be implemented for ordinary passport holders from New Zealand, Australia, and Poland. From July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025, ordinary passport holders from these countries can enter China without a visa for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, or transit for no more than 15 days. Individuals from these countries who do not meet the visa exemption conditions will still need to obtain a visa before entering China.
为进一步促进中外人员往来，中方决定扩大免签国家范围，对新西兰、澳大利亚、波兰3个国家持普通护照人员试行免签政策。2024年7月1日至2025年12月31日期间，上述国家持普通护照人员来华经商、旅游观光、探亲访友和过境不超过15天，可免签入境。上述国家不符合免签条件人员仍需在入境前办妥来华签证。
China has announced mutual or unilateral visa exemptions with multiple countries since 2024:
今年以来，中国已宣布与多国互免或单免——
- Starting February 9, China and Singapore have implemented mutual visa exemption. 2月9日起，中国和新加坡互免签证。
- Starting March 1, China and Thailand have implemented mutual visa exemption. 3月1日起，中国与泰国互免签证。
- On March 7, China announced a trial visa exemption policy for ordinary passport holders from six countries: Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg. 3月7日， 中国宣布对瑞士、爱尔兰、匈牙利、奥地利、比利时、卢森堡6个国家持普通护照人员试行免签政策。
- On May 4, Cuba announced a visa exemption for Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports. 5月4日，古巴宣布对持普通护照中国公民免签。
- On May 28, China and Georgia implemented mutual visa exemption. 5月28日，中国与格鲁吉亚互免签证。
- Starting June 21, the Chinese Embassy in Australia began issuing five-year multiple-entry visas to eligible Australian citizens holding valid ordinary passports for business, tourism, and visiting relatives in China. 6月21日起，中国驻澳大利亚大使馆开始为符合条件，持有效普通护照赴华商务、旅游、探亲的澳大利亚公民审发5年多次入境签证。
Additionally, in May this year, China decided to extend the visa exemption policy for 12 countries, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg, until December 31, 2025.
此外，在今年5月，中国决定延长对法国、德国、意大利、荷兰、西班牙、马来西亚、瑞士、爱尔兰、匈牙利、奥地利、比利时、卢森堡12个国家免签政策至2025年12月31日。
