TIP One
Article 26 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Penalties for Administration of Public Security stipulates:
❶ Gang-fighting;
❷ Chasing or heading off any other person;
❸ Forcibly taking or demanding, willfully damaging, destroying or appropriating any public or private property;
❹ Other acts of picking a quarrel and making trouble.
Anyone who commits any of the above acts shall be detained for not less than 5 days but not more than 10days, and may be fined not more than RMB 500.
If the circumstances are quite serious, he (she) shall be detained for not less than 10 days but not more than 15 days, and may be fined not more than RMB 1000.
TIP Two
Article 15 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Penalties for Administration of Public Security stipulates:
Where an intoxicated person commits an act against the administration of public security, he shall be penalized. Where an intoxicated person in a drunken state may cause danger to himself or threatens another person's safety or property or public safety, protective measures shall be taken to restrain him until he sobers up.
TIP Three
Article 2 of the Narcotics Control Law of the People's Republic of China stipulates:
The term "narcotics" as mentioned in this Law refers to opium, heroin, methamphetamine (ice), morphine, cannabis, cocaine, and other narcotics and psychotropic drugs which are under the state control and addictive.
Article 62 of the Narcotics Control Law of the People's Republic of China and Article 72 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Penalties for Administration of Public Security stipulate:
A person who ingests or injects narcotic drugs shall be detained for not less than 10 days but not more than 15 days and may, and in addition, be fined not more than RMB 2000 and if the circumstances are relatively minor, he/she shall bedetained for not more than 5 days or be fined not morethan RMB 500.
Articles 33 and 38 of the Narcotics Control Law of the People's Republic of China stipulate:
The public security organ may order a drug addict to receive treatment of drug addiction in the community; For those who refusing to receive treatment of drug addiction in the community, the public security organ may make a decision on his/her compulsory isolation for drug rehabilitation.
TIP Four
Article 81 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China stipulates:
Where foreigners engage in activities not corresponding to the purposes of stay or residence, or otherwise violate the laws or regulations of China, which makes them no longer eligible to stay or reside in China, they may be ordered to exit China within a time imit. Where a foreigner's violation of this Law is serious but does not constitute a crime, the Ministry of Public Security may deport him(her). Deported foreigners shall not be allowed to enter China within 10 years calculating from the date of deportation.
