These cities are busy metropolises with plenty of entertainment, restaurants and shopping centers. <strong>Shenzhen<\/strong> is one of China\u2019s newer cities, offering warm weather and a quick ferry ride to Hong Kong. However, large cities like we mentioned above are making people survive hardly with their extremely high price, congested transportation, crowded living conditions, and relatively less leisure time. It\u2019s home to a range of landscapes, including desert, grassland, and around 9,000 miles of coastline. Heilongjiang Province in northeast China can drop well below zero degrees in the winter \u2013 think -30\u00b0C! \u2013 whereas Xinjiang in northwest China can reach temperatures above 30\u00b0C in summer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In an effort to simplify this hugely diverse country, it would be fair to say that China is generally hot and rainy in summer, and cold and dry in winter. Below, we\u2019ve highlighted the weather in the four most popular places to teach in China, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Zhengzhou.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Beijing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">China\u2019s gigantic capital, Beijing, is at its coolest in January averaging -4\u00b0C and at it warmest in July averaging a temperature of 26\u00b0C. During the summer, it\u2019s extremely humid and rainy, especially in June and July.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Shanghai<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the east coast of China, Shanghai is slightly warmer than Beijing, enjoying mild winters and subtropical summers. Temperatures drop to an average of 5\u00b0C in the coldest month of January and rise to 28\u00b0C in the hottest months of July and August. The city also gets heavy rainfall during the summer, especially in June and August, and is extremely humid year-round.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Guangzhou<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Not far from Hong Kong, Guangzhou is pretty warm and humid all year round. From June to August, the city averages 28\u00b0C, and in January, the temperature is around 14\u00b0C. With a subtropical monsoon climate, rainfall is heavy in Guangzhou from April to September, peaking in May, and humidity is high throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Zhengzhou<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Featuring a warm temperate continental climate,\u00a0<strong>Zhengzhou<\/strong> has four distinct seasons with an annual average temperature of 14.4 \u00b0C and an average rainfall of 640.9 mm. July is the hottest month with an average temperature of 27.3 \u00b0C and the coldest temperature is about 0.2 \u00b0C in January. Therefore,\u00a0<strong>Spring and Autumn are both the best time to visit Zhengzhou<\/strong>\u00a0to avoid heat in Summer and cold in Winter.
